⌇ Naminoue Shrine

A shrine built on a cliff in Naha

The founding year is unknown, but it is said that long ago, people prayed to the gods of the land of the sea god (Niraikanai) for a peaceful life with good weather, abundant catches and bountiful harvests.

One of the sacred places for prayer was located on the edge of the cliff above the waves.

It is close to the airport and there were many tourists.

It was my first time to visit.

Below the shrine is Naminoue Beach
You can enjoy the unique scenery of Okinawa.
