I went to Kasuga Taisha Shrine to see the "Nara deer," a must-see when sightseeing in Nara. You can see deer in Nara Park, but at Kasuga Taisha Shrine, you can see deer popping out from between the gaps in the lanterns on the main approach to the shrine.
There are so many of them that it's a little surprising, but they are so cute, so be sure to visit.
However, since deer are wild, touching them is prohibited, even if they are cute. If you accidentally touch a baby fawn, it will pick up a human scent and the mother deer will abandon it.
Please be sure to avoid such a sad event.
Let's love and interact with the deer. (Deer crackers are scary, but recommended!)
