📍 Todai-ji Temple (東大寺 / Todai-ji Temple) Review
This is a must-see attraction during your Nara trip. ⛩️ It's located in the heart of Nara Park, so I was able to walk alongside the deer while arriving. 🦌 Deer roamed freely along the road, and it was amazing to get up close and personal. I bought some deer crackers (shika senbei) and they bowed their heads in greeting, which was so cute☺️
Passing through the entrance and entering the Daibutsuden (Great Buddha Hall), the imposing Great Buddha statue (Daibutsu) awaited me. Seeing it up close was breathtaking. The interior was dim and calming, which naturally brought peace of mind and made it a great place to take a leisurely stroll. The scale and detail of the wooden structures were incredibly intricate.
Admission was 600 yen for adults, and the spacious grounds made for a pleasant stroll. There were souvenir shops and cafes nearby, making it a great place to take a break after your visit. As a temple that symbolizes the nation, I highly recommend visiting at least once to experience its grandeur and peaceful atmosphere.🌸
