Fort San Marco, Taipei

Walking into Fort San Domingo is like opening a living history textbook.
This red brick building is one of the most representative historical sites in Tamsui.
From the Spanish, the Dutch, the Qing Dynasty, the British, to today's Taiwan,
It has silently witnessed the changes of political power and cultural changes over the past four hundred years.
Red walls, arched windows, stone steps and courtyards,
Every corner is suitable for taking photos.
But what is even more fascinating is the atmosphere of "time goes slowly".
Standing on a high place overlooking the Tamsui River,
You can see the setting sun shining on the water.
It turns out that history and scenery can be integrated so naturally.
If you only queue up for fish cakes in Tamsui Old Street,
That really means missing out on too many stories that belong to this city.
