Noboribetsu Onsen, Jigokudani

While surrounded by rich nature, this hot spring town is easily accessible, just under an hour from New Chitose Airport and just over an hour from Sapporo.

One of the major sources of Noboribetsu Onsen is Jigokudani.

A group of explosive craters with many hot springs and steam spouts, and high temperatures that make it very difficult to step directly into.

It was named "Hell Valley" because it looks like hell.

Walking along the Jigokudani Promenade, a valley with exposed brown and gray rock surfaces appears along with rising smoke! It's truly a spectacular view.
You can smell sulfur and hear the sound of hot water bubbling away.

There are many monuments of demons and iron clubs throughout the town of Noboribetsu.

The baths and food were delicious and relaxing.
