I visited the Villa Taranto Botanical Gardens near Verbania, and it was like stepping into a living painting. Exotic plants, Japanese maples, fountains, and colorful flowers created a paradise by the lake. Afterward, I sat by the waterfront watching ferries crisscross between towns. The scenery felt more spacious compared to Como — wide, open views with mountains framing everything. It’s no wonder so many artists and writers loved this place. I spent the evening on a terrace with pasta and local Merlot, thinking this is the kind of beauty that nourishes the soul. #mytraveldiary
