Osaka Imperial Hotel|Old Money Style

The reason I chose to book the Osaka Imperial Hotel was actually because I accidentally remembered the movie "Mask Hotel" starring Takuya Kimura and Masami Nagasawa. Although it wasn’t filmed here, the hotel’s old-fashioned style really attracted me. This time it was a solo trip, and I decided to try booking a luxury hotel. It wasn’t too expensive, and booking a month in advance made the price reasonable, so I booked two nights.

After taking the bus from the airport to Osaka Station, the hotel offers a free shuttle service. We managed to catch the last shuttle at 9:40 PM. The shuttle was burgundy, and I also saw other hotels’ shuttles in dark green and navy blue, all very tasteful. The driver prepared a small step stool for boarding, showing great attention to detail.

When I checked in at the hotel, I found out it was my birthday the next day, and the hotel upgraded my room and even gave me some snacks. Honestly, I was shocked when I entered the room; it was so large and luxurious, completely unlike any Japanese hotel I had stayed in before. The room had a round, panoramic view with no dead angles, two bathrooms, and a dressing room right at the entrance. It felt very spacious. Next to the main bathroom was a vanity table, and the view outside the window was already beautiful scenery. The south-facing room let sunlight pour in the moment I opened the electric curtains. The soundproofing was excellent, and the room was super quiet and very comfortable.

Every day, six pieces of Imperial Hotel chocolate were delivered to the room, and in the morning, a newspaper was left at the door. These little details were really thoughtful. Every time I entered or left the hotel, I passed through the luxurious lobby. I especially liked the spherical rose floral arrangement. The other facilities and services were impeccable. Lastly, I have to mention that the hotel’s toiletries are made of wood or wood-like materials, which feel very comfortable to use. If you like, the hotel offers free daily delivery.

Overall, the Osaka Imperial Hotel was an unforgettable stay for me. Whether it’s the service, facilities, or details, everything was top-notch. I will definitely come again!
