Easter Holiday Adventure at Osaka Tennoji Zoo

During the Easter holiday, I traveled to Osaka, Japan 🇯🇵 with my two kids. For convenience, we stayed at the Marriott Hotel in Tennoji for several days. I’ve previously recommended this hotel for its stunning views, and I highly suggest staying here.

The well-known Tennoji Zoo, familiar to many Hong Kong residents, is located near the hotel. It’s just a 10-minute walk away, making it incredibly convenient.

Tennoji Zoo spans approximately 11 hectares and houses around 170 species and 1,000 animals, including lions, chimpanzees, and polar bears. It’s an ideal destination for children, and the entrance fee is very affordable.

Although Tennoji Zoo isn’t a massive zoo, it’s well-organized and offers a diverse range of animals. You can explore the zoo in about two hours. The park is divided into sections such as the "Asian Tropical Rainforest Zone," "Nocturnal Animal Zone," and the interactive "Friendship Garden."

Other popular attractions include the newly added "Penguin Park & Sea Lion Wharf" and the "Bird Paradise" (鳥の楽園), where you can see birds freely roaming and flying around.

Additionally, I highly recommend the Italian restaurant near the zoo entrance—Aoi Napoli in the Park. Their handmade pasta dishes are exceptional, with authentic Italian flavors. The pizzas are crispy and cheesy, and the Sakura Shrimp and Cheese Pasta with spicy tomato sauce is particularly memorable.
