This Tennoji trip started from JR Tennoji Station, where the unique atmosphere of the area was felt immediately upon arrival. First, I headed to Tennoji Park, which features expansive green spaces and tranquil walking paths, perfect for a relaxing stroll while enjoying views of Tsutenkaku Tower in the distance. Inside the park, Keitakuen is a Japanese-style garden where the ponds and greenery intertwine, instantly making you forget the city's hustle and bustle.
Next, I visited Shitennoji Temple, a Buddhist temple with over 1,400 years of history, rich in cultural heritage. Walking through the temple grounds, admiring the traditional architecture, and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere felt like traveling back in time to experience Japan’s traditional religious culture.
For lunch, I chose to dine at the food street in Abeno HARUKAS, savoring Osaka specialties like takoyaki and kushikatsu. After enjoying the local flavors, I went up to the HARUKAS 300 observation deck to take in the magnificent views of Osaka city.
In the afternoon, I visited Tennoji Zoo, ideal for families and animal lovers, home to a variety of rare animals in a comfortable environment. Finally, I shopped at Q’s Mall, concluding this Tennoji trip that combined history, culture, and modern shopping experiences.
