🐾【Short Trip to Tennoji Zoo, Osaka】🐾

In September 2025, I visited Tennoji Zoo in central Osaka. Although the weather was still quite hot, this century-old zoo (and the third oldest in Japan), surrounded by natural greenery, was truly refreshing!
🎟️ The entrance fee was only 500 yen, which was a great deal. The park is spacious, allowing for a perfect 2-3 hours of wandering, with plenty of places to sit and relax.
🦁🦒🦓 The African Savannah area was incredibly immersive, with lions, giraffes, zebras, and other animals living in the same open space, reminiscent of a real savannah. The Asian Rainforest area was also fantastic, with animals like leopards and red pandas roaming in a simulated natural environment, making it incredibly fun to watch.
🐻❄️ The polar bear exhibit was truly impressive! They were so strong and adorable, swimming leisurely in the water and lazing lazily on land. I was completely captivated by them.
🦭 I also particularly loved the seal area! Watching them swim underwater through the glass tanks, or watching them from above as their trainers fed them live fish and performed tricks, was truly relaxing!
🦇🐦 Although the bat house and bird park had a bit of a smell (really stinky 😅), it was still wonderful to see the birds flying in large cages that simulated a jungle, roosting among trees and streams. The bats were housed in a darkened room, so observing them through the glass was also quite interesting.
🌿 Tennoji Zoo is a rare place in the city center where you can get up close and personal with nature and animals. We spent that day relaxing and enriching in the summer breeze, feeling deeply healed and moved.
📸 If you love animals or are looking for a relaxing spot in downtown Osaka, this is definitely worth a visit!
