🌿 Strolling by the river… with the cool breeze that lightens the heart
One of our favorite activities that costs nothing at all is…
walking along the Dotonbori River in the evening. The golden light from the sunset reflects on the water, sparkling everywhere. The soft sound of tour boats
and the laughter of people make us smile without even realizing it 🍃
There are some spots where street musicians play soft tunes, bringing the view to life. We sit sipping bottled green tea from Lawson and watch people’s lives as they pass by, like a warm scene from a Japanese movie
that makes you want to watch it again 🧃🎶
⸻
🐾 Cat cafes, bear cafes, Minion cafes… healing everyone’s heart
Osaka is truly a city for café lovers
because no matter where you walk, there are cute themed cafés hidden around every corner!
We tried a cat café not far from Shinsaibashi.
Once inside, we found many cats sitting gracefully like the princes and princesses of the café. Some came to greet us, others looked at us with eyes saying,
“Buy me a treat!” We gave in and bought some without hesitation 555+ 😻
Besides that, there are bear cafés, Kuma Kitty cafés, green tea cafés,
and cafés serving desserts that look like cartoon animals. Everything is heartwarming! Especially when the sweets are placed in front of you, they’re not just desserts…
they’re truly “edible cuteness” 💗🍰

🎨 Small art museums and neighborhoods full of creativity
Some might not know that Osaka also has cool artistic corners hidden away,
like the quiet but charming Nakazakicho district!
A small alley decorated with posters, hand-drawn art,
handmade shops, and uniquely decorated cafés.
Everything looks simple but has a very distinct character.
We bought a cat-printed tote bag from one shop and a watercolor pin from a small store where a Japanese lady proudly smiled while selling her work. These are truly heartfelt treasures 🎒🎨
⸻
🍜 Tenjinbashi-suji – the longest shopping street in Japan!
Did you know Osaka has a shopping street over 2.6 kilometers long?
Yes… this is Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street,
lined with shops, restaurants, and traditional Japanese sweet shops.
We walked, ate, and shopped without realizing it, tasting rich green tea soft serve,
hot croquettes at cute prices, and even found antique shops, secondhand bookstores, and old wooden cafés serving lightly fragrant coffee
with soft jazz music playing in the background.
For anyone wanting to see simple, unhurried Japanese life, this is the place 📚
⸻
🚃 Osaka trains – like playing a board game in real life!
Getting around Osaka is another kind of fun because there are many train lines to choose from, from Osaka Metro to JR and Nankai.
If you like order and system, you’ll definitely enjoy traveling in this city.
Some stations have hidden art, like Hommachi or Namba stations, decorated so beautifully they look like galleries. Some stations have underground malls connected like a fun maze, where you can stroll and suddenly find yourself buying snacks
or cosmetics without realizing it 555+
⸻
🎁 Cute souvenirs that are not just things… but memories
Before heading home, we went to Don Quijote (Donki), open 24 hours,
with a long list of souvenirs including unusual KitKat flavors, boxed puddings, Sanrio character goods, and cartoon models.
Adorable stationery that’s hard to resist.
What we loved most was finding a “notebook with a Shiba Inu dog smiling all the time.”
It was so cute we wanted to write all about Osaka on every page 🐶🧡
The things we brought back to Thailand weren’t just objects…
they were good feelings we wanted to share with others.
⸻
💌 A gentle closing summary in the heart
Osaka is a city that doesn’t try too hard but easily makes you fall in love with it through the smiles of locals, the scent of takoyaki in the evening, the laughter from amusement parks, and the city lights reflected in your eyes.
It’s not a luxurious city, but it has “warmth” woven into every detail, whether it’s a small smile on the street, a quiet alley with cute sweet shops, or a journey where even if you get lost, there’s always someone ready to help.
Osaka is a city that…
“If you come once, you’ll want to come again, and if you leave,
you’ll feel homesick like leaving your own home.”
Thank you, Osaka, for taking care of our hearts every day of the trip 💖
See you again… the loveliest city in Japan 🍡🏯✨
