[Oshino Hakkai] A mysterious pond created by nature✨

I've always been curious about that beautiful, crystal-clear pond I've seen so often on social media, so I went and shared it with you! 😊
Located in Oshino Village, Minamitsuru District, Yamanashi Prefecture, Oshino Hakkai is a collection of eight springs fed by Mt. Fuji's underground waters.

Melting snow from Mt. Fuji🗻 has been filtered through underground lava for decades, resulting in incredibly clear water with no impurities. ‼️It's been designated one of Japan's 100 Famous Waters‼️In 1934 (Showa 9), it was designated a National Natural Monument, and in 2013 (Heisei 25), it was registered as one of the Mount Fuji World Heritage Sites. ‼️
The scenery, with its thatched roofs and watermills, is a quintessential example of Japan's original landscape. The view of Mt. Fuji is even more picturesque, making it famous as the best place in Japan to see it. ✨

🐠Introduction to the 8 Ponds 1️⃣Nakaike Pond: The most popular spot. Despite being 8 meters deep, you can see the bottom of the pond, creating a cobalt blue color. Fish swim in the pond, offering a spectacular view. 2️⃣Deguchi Pond: Located a short 12-minute walk away. It is the largest of the Oshino Hakkai, and Deguchi Inari Daimyojin is enshrined nearby. 3️⃣Okama Pond: The smallest of the Oshino Hakkai, but only 4 meters deep. The surface of the pond is covered with plum blossoms, and only the spring outlet is blue, where the water springs up. 4️⃣Sokonuke Pond: Located inside the Hazelnut Forest Folk Museum near Nakaike Pond. Inside, you can see the oldest thatched roof house in Oshino Hakkai. The view with Mount Fuji is spectacular. Sokonuke Pond is located in a quiet area at the back. (Museum) 9:00-17:00 Adults 300 yen / Children 150 yen / Infants 100 yen 5️⃣Choshi Pond This pond is said to bring good fortune in finding love. It is a god with the power to ward off misfortune. It is a small pond nestled quietly among the grass. 6️⃣Yakuike Pond This pond is characterized by its clear blue water, which is highly transparent due to the large amount of spring water. It is said that the water from this pond was used in an experiment to create snow in space in 1983 (Showa 58). 7️⃣Muddy Pond Originally used as drinking water for the village, there is a legend that the pond suddenly became muddy due to a certain incident. However, contrary to its name, it is now a clear pond, and fish swim gracefully in it. 8️⃣Shobu Pond As its name suggests, this pond is surrounded by irises. If you visit around May, you can see beautiful iris flowers. 🉐The total walking time for the entire Oshino Hakkai Springs is approximately two hours. Comments are welcome, so please feel free to share your thoughts and opinions. 🙇 We also welcome any suggestions for improvement.
