#Dragon Boat Festival good places
It’s the Dragon Boat Festival again. It’s a rare holiday, so I must travel to Phnom Penh. The Silver Pagoda in Phnom Penh, also known as the Silver Buddha Temple, is located in the Royal Palace area in the center of Phnom Penh. It is one of the Buddhist temples with the most religious and cultural value in Cambodia. The biggest highlight of the temple is the silver Buddha statue, which is exquisitely made and inlaid with gems and gold foil, symbolizing the sacredness and dignity of Buddhism. In addition, the floor inside the temple is paved with more than 5,000 pure silver bricks, showing its luxurious artistic style.
The temple is open from 7:30 to 11:00 in the morning and from 2:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon every day. The entrance fee for foreign tourists is about US$10. The recommended visiting time is 1 to 2 hours. It is one of the must-visit cultural attractions in Phnom Penh and a good place to go during the Dragon Boat Festival.
