Wat Phra Ngam, the gateway to time

Wat Phra Ngam in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province boasts an ancient archway surrounded by Bodhi trees, over 100 years old, earning it the nickname "The Gate of Time." Inside, Wat Phra Ngam houses an octagonal chedi, the principal Buddha image. Surrounded by a wall and moat, the temple is a must-see for stunning views of the sun shining through the archway. Visit around 6:00 PM or around 6:00 AM for a stunning view of the sun shining through the archway. The temple grounds are relatively peaceful, and not crowded with tourists like other temples in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. A must-see.
