Wat Phra Ngam, an old abandoned temple on Khlong Srabue in the Ayutthaya period, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. This temple is the temple we search for every time we come to #Ayutthaya. It took us 3 times to find it.

Wat Phra Ngam is an abandoned temple outside the island of Ayutthaya. Its highlight is the "gate arch" that is surrounded by Bodhi trees for more than 100 years. The beauty of the doorway in the afternoon will receive sunlight through it like a doorway through time.

Inside Wat Phra Ngam, there is an octagonal pagoda, the principal Buddha image, and a glass wall and moat surrounding the temple. From archaeological studies, it is estimated that this temple was probably built since the early Ayutthaya period. And was abandoned when the capital was lost for the second time
