Day trip from Bangkok to visit Ayutthaya's temples

I took a day trip from Bangkok to Ayutthaya to explore its temple complexes. Wat Chaiwatthanaram, built in the 17th century, once served as a religious and political center symbolizing the prosperity of the Ayutthaya Kingdom.

At its center stands a large Khmer-style stupa, surrounded by smaller stupas. This site offers a glimpse into the grandeur of the Ayutthaya Kingdom, while also showcasing its long history through the ruins and collapsed sections. Most of the Buddha statues are missing their heads, reportedly stolen by thieves.

Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, its majestic scenery is something you must experience in person.🧚
