🗼 The Leaning Wonder and Majestic Cathedral of Pisa

Visiting the Tower of Pisa was surreal—it’s one of those iconic structures you’ve seen in photos all your life, but standing right in front of it hits differently. The lean is real and quite dramatic when viewed up close. It was fun watching everyone take those classic “holding the tower” photos, and of course, we couldn’t resist joining in! The area around the tower was bustling with energy, but it didn’t feel overwhelming.

Right next to it is the stunning Cattedrale di Pisa (Pisa Cathedral), which honestly deserves just as much attention. Its Romanesque architecture is absolutely beautiful, with intricate marble details and a peaceful interior that offered a nice break from the outdoor heat. The grandeur of the cathedral, along with the Baptistery and the Tower, makes the entire Square of Miracles (Piazza dei Miracoli) feel like an open-air museum.

We visited in the late morning and spent a couple of hours exploring the surroundings, grabbing a gelato nearby, and soaking in the historic atmosphere. Pisa was definitely worth the detour—both the tower and the cathedral left a lasting impression.
