The most unique JW Marriott in all of China has to be this one

I've always been a bit curious about the "JW Marriott Shenzhen Jinmao Hotel." It's not for any particular reason, just purely because it's probably the only hotel in all of China that places the owner's name before the city's name, right? Does anyone know why?

This JW Marriott in Futian renovated some of its rooms a few years ago, but overall it still feels quite old. Fortunately, their operational strategy clearly focuses on "compensating for the hardware with software." From the concierge and front desk to the executive lounge and breakfast room, the service level is generally a bit higher than other JW Marriotts in mainland China. Other than that, there's nothing special—it's just obviously "old"...

By the way, the Marriott's Western restaurant is called Cafe Chinois in English and French, which is probably trying to be abstract.
