Hyatt Regency Yantian Shenzhen: A Night of Serenity in a High-Floor Mountain and Sea View Room

Recently, I’ve been feeling the need to unwind, but I didn’t want to travel too far. So, I decided to visit the Hyatt Regency Yantian Shenzhen. Located at the edge of the city and not far from Hong Kong, it offers a subtle sense of escape.

The hotel rooms are all situated above the 30th floor, and I stayed in a standard mountain view king room on the 48th floor. When I opened the curtains, I was greeted by a view of city buildings—not a perfect mountain view, but the high floor provided a broad perspective. To the left, I could even see the sea. At night, the city lights flickered between the contours of the mountains and the sea, creating a unique atmosphere of being away from the hustle and bustle while still feeling connected. It’s perfect for those moments when you don’t want too much excitement but also don’t want to feel completely isolated.

The bathroom is always my top priority when choosing accommodations, and this room’s bathroom exceeded my expectations. It was spacious, with a well-designed separation of wet and dry areas. The bathtub and shower were separately arranged, allowing me to jump straight into the tub after a shower. The hotel thoughtfully provided bath salts as well. The bathtub was large enough for two people, but for just me, it felt a bit too spacious—I had to hold onto the side rail to avoid floating up entirely. It sounds a bit comical, but it was undeniably relaxing.

Breakfast was served on the 30th floor. On good weather days, enjoying eggs while gazing at the sea instantly brightens your mood. The variety of food was extensive, offering both Western and Chinese options, with staff preparing noodles and egg dishes on the spot. However, to be honest, the food quality could be improved. On the bright side, the staff were very attentive, quickly clearing plates and replenishing food.

Downstairs, there’s direct access to the OneSea Mall, making dining and shopping convenient. A short walk takes you to the coastal boardwalk, where you can stroll along the seaside and enjoy the refreshing breeze, helping you reconnect with your own rhythm of breathing.

If you’re not looking for an intense vacation vibe but want a slight escape from daily life, this is a great choice for a short getaway.
