[Shimonoseki] Power spot: A shrine like Ryugu-jo Castle

A shrine that looks just like Ryugujo Castle.

It is located in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture, right next to the Kanmon Straits.

・This is a shrine dedicated to Emperor Antoku. Emperor Antoku attempted suicide by drowning with his grandmother Nii-no-ama during the Battle of Dannoura, and died at the young age of 8.

Nii-no-ama, who was also the wife of Taira no Kiyomori, is said to have held the 8-year-old Emperor Antoku in her arms and sang a poem saying, "There is a capital city that is easy to live in even in the sea." It is a loving expression for a young child, and there is a sense of sadness in the lyrics.

・It is also famous as a place associated with the ghost story "Mimi-nashi Hoichi." There is also a shrine for Mimi-nashi Hoichi to the left of the main hall at the top of the stairs.
