A food court worth a special trip

Tiong Bahru Market in Singapore is very clean.
The first floor is the general market, and the second floor is the food court.
There's a wide selection, from traditional Singaporean cuisine to Chinese dishes and desserts.

We came in the evening, and many shops were closed, so we only bought the famous Champak Chwee Kueh and the Thai stir-fry restaurant next door.

Champak Chwee Kueh is a steamed rice pastry topped with stir-fried preserved radish. It's a very simple snack.

Despite its simplicity, it has been awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand for five consecutive years since 2021.

It's truly impressive.

At the Thai stir-fry restaurant next door, we ordered pad thai and spicy stir-fried water spinach.
Water spinach is also known as water spinach.
Both were only S$13, which is very affordable. There are photos and numbers of various dishes at the entrance.
When ordering, simply write the number on a slip of paper.
They'll prepare it for you.
You pay when the dish is ready.

I also bought a cup of longan water at Tiantianyuan Dessert House.
It had several longans in it,
and they'd add crushed ice.
A large cup was only 2 SGD, a great deal!
