Pena Palace

This is Pena Palace, one of Portugal's most iconic castles.
It's located on a hill in Sintra, about a 40-minute drive from Lisbon.
The palace was built in the 19th century by King Ferdinand II, a great lover of art, and incorporates Gothic, Renaissance, and even Moorish designs.
The vibrant red, yellow, and blue colors give the palace a fairytale feel.
On clear days, you can see all of Sintra and even the Atlantic Ocean from the top.
The interior features antique royal furniture and traditional Portuguese tile decorations (azulejos), which are truly unique.
Because it can be quite crowded, it's recommended to visit in the morning or evening for a more pleasant experience.
Overall, this is truly one of Portugal's most dreamy and fairytale-like castles!
