Eat, drink, and have fun in Tainan

I headed straight to Tainan early this morning just for a bowl of pure, sweet beef soup, and it lived up to my expectations. The tender meat and savory broth captivated me with every bite.
After enjoying the beef soup, I took an AI tour of Anping Fort. Download the National Cheng Kung University-designed AR app that recreates Fort Zeelandia, and the charm of the ancient city comes alive before my eyes.
Around Anping Fort, the old streets are filled with century-old shops and new businesses, each irresistible. The delicious preserved fruits and shrimp cakes are not to be missed.
Then we headed to the popular Instagram-famous Xiaodao Japanese shaved ice. Not only is the design captivating, but the flavors are also multifaceted. The slightly salty milk capping balances the sweetness of the brown sugar. Digging into the icy interior revealed refreshing apple chunks and rich, fragrant black tea jelly. It was a real surprise, and worth a return visit.
At dusk, on Yuguang Island, a 10-minute drive from Anping, near our hotel, I caught a glimpse of a pearlescent shell along the shoreline as the sun set. The setting sun shone through the shell, a mesmerizing moment. The city's delicious food and beautiful scenery are worth visiting again and again
