Yun Jin Chinese Restaurant, a long-awaited addition!
Building at a cost of NT$70 million, Yun Jin boasts a vibrant and elegant dining space, adorned with vibrant colors and oriental-inspired elements. They specialize in authentic cuisine from Sichuan, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, Shanghai, Beijing, and Taiwan.
Yun Jin offers both à la carte and set menus, including appetizers, hot meat dishes, seafood, hot vegetarian dishes, soups, four main courses, and desserts.
We had a quick bite at the 22nd floor Grand Court, so we randomly ordered a few dishes we hadn't tried before.
For appetizers, we ordered the spicy tofu skin and vegetables and the strange-flavored tofu. Both were surprisingly ordinary.
I decided to stick with my usual favorites, the roasted pepper preserved egg and the red oil shredded pig's ears!
Next up were clear beef brisket soup, XO scallop soup dumplings, Shanghai style dumplings, and five-spice garlic crispy pork ribs.
The clear beef brisket soup and XO scallop soup dumplings were refreshingly seasoned. The brisket broth was incredibly sweet and perfectly cooked. The accompanying dipping sauce made it feel like lamb soup. 😂
The Shanghai style dumplings and five-spice garlic crispy pork ribs were perfectly seasoned. The pork ribs were especially delicious, leaving me licking my fingertips. After nibbling a piece with a knife and fork, I kept picking it up and nibbling on it. 🤣
For dessert, the almond milk tofu was my top choice. I always try something new, and in the end, it was this one. ❤️
