🙏🏻 Today, I had the opportunity to visit Daibutsu-ji Temple (大仏寺) in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture. ⛰️ This is where Takaoka Daibutsu, one of the “Three Great Buddhas” of Japan, is enshrined. 🇯🇵 (The other two are in Nara and Kamakura). This Buddha statue is 16 meters high and made of bronze. It took more than 26 years to build with great care. The face of the Buddha is calm and still, giving a sense of coolness and stability that cannot be described. Below the Buddha image, you can also go in and see the wooden head of the original Buddha image that was enshrined here, as well as various Buddhist art works inside the Buddha's base. ✨ This place is very quiet, not crowded like famous temples in big cities. It is suitable for coming to walk around, worship, or just sit and relax. 🌳✨ If anyone has the chance to visit Don't forget to visit the "Great Buddha of Takaoka" in Toyama! It was truly impressive! ❤️📍Takaoka Daibutsu⏰ Open daily from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM🚋 About a 10-minute walk from Takaoka Station🎟️ No admission fee. There's also a cute cafe next to the Great Buddha called "amida coffee ☕️." Their signature menu items feature the Buddha theme, including the Daibutsu Latte, a cute Buddha-themed latte, and the Daibutsu Castella, a sponge cake baked in Takaoka's metal mold, resulting in a soft, moist, and perfectly crispy texture🤎 Their coffee is home-roasted, offering a rich yet smooth flavor. They also serve coffee-flavored desserts and cakes. Coffee lovers should definitely stop by 😊 📍 amida coffee🕘 Open daily from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM
