The Best View Of Tenby, Check Out The Iconic Tenby Castle And Its Vantage Point

The beautiful town of Tenby is an absolute highlight of wales, a combination of a historical town set in stunning natural beauty. It has been a favourite place of mine since my childhood and I love coming back here any chance that I get.
It is famous for it’s beach front location, cute colourful houses and rich and diverse history - it has so many sights of interest and the castle point is the best place to view them all. It is a short walk up from the harbour and it is free to enter the grounds and walk around. From this vantage point you have 360 degrees out over the water and the town behind you. The castle itself is mainly ruins but there is enough remaining and enough information available for you to visualize what it was like in it’s era.
You also have amazing views of the beaches and the iconic St Catherine’s island with her abandoned fort, all of which are icons of this gorgeous little town. There is a small art gallery on site which you need to pay to enter, but honestly it is very small and not really worth a visit. Stick to the free gardens and views to take this area in, on a clear day you can also see the famous Caldey island in the distance! Definitely a place to check out if you are heading to Tenby as this is the best views in the town!
