This is Wat Tham Suea, Tha Muang District, Kanchanaburi Province.
Go up and look down to see the beautiful Mae Klong Dam.
Wat Tham Suea is a new temple built in 1972 by the abbot Phra Khru Sitthiwimol. He went on a pilgrimage and found broken bricks and remains of an old pagoda in this area, so he renovated it. This temple has a large Buddha statue in the blessing posture on the top of the mountain with a very beautiful Buddha image. There is also an octagonal ordination hall in Thai style with beautiful and intricate patterns. Next to it is the Kesa Kaew Maha Prasat Chedi, which tourists can walk or take the elevator up to see the view of the lake and the Mae Klong Dam. Important things in Wat Tham Suea include:
Luang Pho Chin Prasat Phon, a Buddha statue in the blessing posture, enshrined on the mountain with a beautiful Buddha image. The Buddha image is decorated with gold mosaic tiles all over the body. It is considered a large Buddha image that can be seen from afar.
