Here's my latest accommodation review! During this trip to Tokyo, we booked a hotel in the Ikebukuro area and stayed in one place for 6 days without changing hotels. 🏨 Kankokukan Business Hotel
- 900m walk to Ikebukoro Station Exit C6. - There are many minimarts nearby, so it's not crowded.

✅ Pros
- Great location in the city, near the train station, shopping areas, minimarts, and restaurants. - Quiet at night. - No cigarette smoke smell. - Clean and tidy. - Towels are changed daily and toothbrushes are provided. - The bathroom has shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner that smell great and leave your hair very soft. - The shared kitchen has a microwave for heating food, a kettle, instant coffee, a water dispenser, and a refrigerator.
—-
❌ Cons
- The room is quite small. It can fit two 24-inch suitcases, but you have to unpack them one at a time. - No private bathroom. But there are restrooms on every floor. - There's only one shower room on the first floor, but I've never had to wait in line. It's always empty when I go. - The bed is probably 4 feet wide, so two women can sleep comfortably, but men might feel cramped. - I feel like the bed isn't as long as in Thailand. If you're very tall, it might be a bit small. However, the hotel is mostly frequented by foreigners (Westerners). - There's no elevator, so you have to carry your own luggage up to your room.

💰 Cost of accommodation during our booking period (October 27 - November 2)
- Total of 6 nights - 11,872.04 / 6, which works out to 1,979 THB per night. - We went with 2 friends, so splitting the cost was about 990 THB per person. ⚠️ Prices vary by month, ranging from 13xx to 19xx THB.
