[Xi'an Cathedral, China] A little away from the hustle and bustle of Xi'an, the capital of the Qin Dynasty. A hidden spot surrounded by tranquility.

Xi'an Huimin Street (Islamic Street) is an area about 500m north of the Drum Tower where Muslims live and run shops, and just seeing the white hats of the Muslims is a joy. We went during the Chinese New Year, so it was difficult to walk, but we could feel the energy of the Chinese New Year. The best thing to do here is the B-grade gourmet food. There were many signs (gold stands out) and food stalls with delicious smells, and it was difficult to decide what to eat.
I have eaten roujiamo several times in Shanghai, but I immediately bought one to see how it tasted different from my local one, and immediately tried it (I forgot to take a picture. Sob), and it was delicious. And what about the main dish? "When you come to Xi'an, you have to have biyan biyan noodles!" I thought.
Do you know the kanji for biyan biyan noodles? Look at the photo of the sign. The radical is "shinnyo" and the character mu, which looks like a window, has an incredible number of kanji embedded in it, which is "biyan". (58 strokes). Perhaps the name of the noodles comes first, rather than the taste? ? But I still wanted to try Biang Biang noodles! I told our guide, but he flatly rejected my request, saying that Biang Biang noodles are a Han Chinese dish, and that for the Hui people they call it Pao Moo noodles.
When in the local area, you should try local food. I pulled myself together and tried some at Laomijia Beimen Main Branch, recommended by my guide! The lamb soup had a small amount of noodles, but it contained torn pieces of bread, which absorbed the lamb soup well. The soup didn't get cold. My body was also warm. I was satisfied. Be careful, though, as alcohol is not allowed in Muslim restaurants!!
By the way, I also tried Biang Biang noodles the next day. The noodles are like a giant version of flat Kishimen noodles, and I ate them like tsukemen. This was also definitely delicious. There are many other foods to try, so please give it a try.
