Xiamen One-Day Tour!!! A Comprehensive Travel Itinerary (Island Edition)

⚠️ Most important tip first!! Make sure to choose a ☀️ sunny day!! Xiamen looks completely different on a sunny day compared to a cloudy one.

🗓️ Itinerary
Huandao Road ➡️ Shapowei ➡️ Zhongshan Road ➡️ Xiaoxue Road

1️⃣ Huandao Road
It’s recommended to visit Yefengzhai or Huangcuo at around 5 or 6 AM to watch the sunrise 🌅! The morning scenery is absolutely stunning and will brighten your entire day.
If you can’t wake up early, you can also visit in the morning to enjoy the sea and play in the sand! As long as it’s sunny, the sea will be incredibly blue!
One important note: avoid visiting at noon!! It’s easy to get heatstroke.

2️⃣ Shapowei
You can take a taxi 🚗 to Shapowei, as it’s quite far from the previous spot.
The shops in Shapowei are great for exploring! You can shop and eat at the same time.
A slightly niche recommendation: check out the [McDonald’s Shapowei] for a photo op! It’s very photogenic (bring some red accessories for better pictures).

3️⃣ Zhongshan Road
On the 4th floor of Tiger City on Zhongshan Road, you can take photos 📸 of the panoramic view of Zhongshan Road and Zhonghua City! The photos turn out great (though I’ve heard they now charge 10💰 per person).
Bashi Market is also nearby! You can explore it while you’re there.
There are many souvenirs and gifts for sale—make sure to compare prices! Many shops offer free samples.

4️⃣ Xiaoxue Road
You can walk to Xiaoxue Road for dinner!! (It’s very close.)
Highly recommend this seafood 🦞 restaurant [Zhenhaixuan].
Most dishes are ordered blindly, but they turn out to be delicious!!
The seafood is very fresh!! Prices are reasonable!! The environment is great too!
The dishes are quite innovative—I tried abalone with taro paste for the first time.

✅ No need to visit Zengcuoan!! It’s famous but doesn’t have much to offer!! Food there is also expensive!!
✅ All the above spots are in Siming District!! If you have extra time, you can also visit Jimei District for a stroll.
✅ One more time!! Make sure to choose a sunny day to enjoy the sea!! Good weather is crucial!! Check the weather forecast!!
