A Geological Wonder: A Great Place for Hiking and Photography

Transportation: We recommend driving or hiring a car. It's about a 1-hour drive from Yuanmou County. Navigate to "Langbapu Earth Forest Scenic Area." Drive carefully on some of the rougher sections of road.

Must-see highlights:
1. Natural wonder: Admire the unique earth pillar formations created by wind erosion. The best time to photograph them is in the early morning or at dusk, when the light is soft.
2. Hiking and exploration: Hike along the scenic area's trails. The entire route takes about 2–3 hours. We recommend wearing non-slip shoes and bringing enough water.
3. Geological study: Observe the textures of the strata deposited over hundreds of millions of years. This is perfect for geography enthusiasts.

Tips: Tickets cost approx. CNY 50. There is no shade in the scenic area, so take precautions to protect yourself from the sun. Use caution when traveling during the rainy season (June–September), as you may encounter muddy roads. You can combine this with a day trip to the Yuanmou Man Museum.
