Just two hours from Wuhan lies a hidden gem that locals lovingly call “the Lijiang of Hubei” — Mochou Village in Zhongxiang. Some say it looks like Wuzhen, others swear it’s the southern twin of Lijiang. Either way, I was absolutely charmed.

Day 1: From Wuhan to Mochou Village

Strolled through quiet alleys with only the sound of cicadas and old uncles fanning themselves
Sipped tea, took endless photos, and soaked in the serenity
At night? The whole place transforms!
Lights, music, dancing, acrobats, and even a bonfire party
It’s like the village suddenly woke up and started celebrating life

Day 2: More Mochou + Dazui National Forest Park
Started slow, had a hearty breakfast
Then explored Dazui Forest Park for some forest therapy
Felt completely recharged
