Shaoshan Gorge was built in 2013. It is a typical Danxia landform and Shaoshan primeval forest. It is a boutique natural oxygen bar and summer leisure resort in the Yellow River Danxia Scenic Area.
The Shaoshan Gorge's rock formations stretch thousands of feet, sometimes convex and sometimes concave, their colors ranging from rich red to light, from dark black to light ink. The thousands of cliffs, bathed in sunlight, transform into a myriad of colors, resembling a magnificent, richly colored mural. Within the crevices of the thousands of foot-high, layered mountains, occasional sumac trees and yellow shrubs stand tall and proud, their tenacious vitality shifting from green to yellow to red with each season, like the welcoming pines of Huangshan, greeting visitors. The canyon is shrouded in lush greenery, and peaks of varying sizes offer a myriad of unique shapes.
