
Siming Mountain National Forest Park is located in the five urban districts of Yuyao, Yinzhou, Fenghua, Shengzhou and Shangyu in the hinterland of Siming Mountain in eastern Zhejiang Province. It is distributed in a narrow east-west shape with a total area of 6,665 hectares. The provincial highway Huxi Line passes through the park.
Siming Mountain is composed primarily of low hills and rolling peaks, with overlapping ridges and ridges, ranging in altitude from 600 to 900 meters. Its main peak, Jinzhong Mountain, reaches 1,018 meters. The park boasts lush forests, fragrant flowers and plants, and cliffs and boulders often stand out among verdant pines and cypresses. The park is exceptionally diverse, with preliminary surveys revealing nearly 1,000 plant species and 106 major animal species. The park boasts evergreen broad-leaved forests, a long corridor of Cryptomeria japonica, a grove of golden pine, a cypress forest, a Huangshan pine forest, the "Home of Red Maple" of Siming Mountain—a 10,000-acre red maple forest—and a variety of birdlife.
The climate in Siming Mountain Park is slightly cold and humid, with distinct four seasons, sufficient sunshine and abundant rainfall. The alternation of winter and summer monsoons is obvious, and the summers are cool.
