Quality coffee shop on the Strip

Hi, I have been to Vegas several times but not since covid and so am not up to date with new openings.

I will be meeting up with new friends (Vegas locals) for the first time and want to enjoy a relaxing afternoon coffee and pastry with them

So any suggestions please for a suitable coffee shop or lounge on the strip, preferably in a lobby?

Many thanks

Las Vegas has seen a number of new coffee spots and renovated hotel lobbies since the pandemic, and there are several options on the Strip that offer quality coffee, pastries, and a relaxing atmosphere suitable for meeting friends. Many of these are in hotel lobbies, making them convenient and comfortable.

Here are some popular options on the Strip:

  • Verve Coffee at Resorts World – This is a sleek coffee shop inside the Resorts World lobby. They serve quality espresso drinks, pour-over options, and pastries, and the seating area is spacious and stylish.
  • Vesta Coffee Roasters at Aria – Located in the Aria lobby, Vesta has a modern, relaxed vibe with excellent coffee, fresh pastries, and comfortable seating perfect for a casual afternoon chat.
  • Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at Wynn/Encore – A long-standing option on the Strip, with a comfortable lobby area and plenty of natural light. Known for consistent coffee and snacks.
  • MGM Grand’s Starbucks Reserve – For a slightly upgraded Starbucks experience, this location offers specialty coffee drinks in a quieter setting compared to the standard store.
  • Lobby Bar at The Cosmopolitan – While technically a bar, they serve high-quality coffee and pastries during the day, and the lobby seating is elegant and relaxed.

Tips for choosing a spot:

  • Consider the lobby vibe – some are lively and busy, while others are quieter and more intimate for conversation.
  • Check for outdoor seating if you prefer people-watching along the Strip.
  • Arrive mid-afternoon for a quieter experience; mornings can be crowded with guests grabbing coffee before heading out.

All of these options provide good coffee and pastries in comfortable, stylish settings suitable for a relaxed meet-up with friends. Depending on where your friends are staying, one of these hotel lobbies will be a convenient and pleasant choice.
