Trying to find the Brown Line on L
I'm near Jackson station on blue line. Trying to get to brown line off and back on pink for the poormans architectue tour.
To get to the Brown Line from Jackson Station on the Blue Line, and then onto the Pink Line for your architecture tour, follow these steps:
- Start at Jackson (Blue Line): From Jackson Station on the Blue Line, board the train heading toward O'Hare.
- Transfer at Loop (or Washington Station): Ride until you reach the "Loop" or "Washington" stations (which is a few stops). To get to the Brown Line, you’ll need to transfer at either the Washington or the Loop station.
- Getting to the Brown Line: At the Washington or Loop station, you can switch to the Brown Line at the State/Lake station (also in the Loop area). From here, you can catch the Brown Line either north toward Kimball or south toward the Merchandise Mart depending on your tour plans.
- Getting to the Pink Line: Once you finish your Brown Line portion, you'll need to transfer to the Pink Line. The easiest place to transfer to the Pink Line is at the Pink Line at the Loop transfer points (via the "LaSalle" stop).
This should get you to your desired Brown Line and Pink Line portions for the poor man's architecture tour. Make sure to check train schedules to ensure you're getting the proper connections. Also, while on the Pink Line, keep an eye out for architectural landmarks!
