Has anyone stayed at the La Concha since the re-model? We've never stayed there but the pictures I'm seeing online look beautiful. We are looking for a last minute trip and the La Concha is showing some nice rates in September that are in line with some of the more budget-type places that we typically stay (i.e. Best Western, Silver Palms, etc). Would you recommend the La Concha?
The La Concha Hotel in Key West recently underwent a remodel, and it has received positive feedback from many guests. The property is centrally located, just a short walk from the famous Duval Street and other popular Key West attractions. Its combination of location, modern amenities, and historic charm makes it a popular choice for visitors looking for a comfortable stay with a touch of luxury.
Regarding the remodel, the hotel has updated its rooms and public spaces, blending contemporary style with the classic Key West vibe. The updated rooms feature stylish furnishings, modern bathrooms, and a more relaxed, upscale feel compared to some of the older properties in the area. The rooftop pool area has also been improved, offering a nice spot to relax with great views of the island.
Since the rates you're seeing for September are comparable to more budget-friendly places like Best Western and Silver Palms, La Concha could be a great choice for a last-minute trip, especially if you're looking to experience a bit more luxury without significantly increasing your budget. Many guests have praised the hotel for its amenities, including the rooftop bar and its proximity to the action in Key West, without being too noisy. It’s an ideal spot if you want to be close to the heart of the action, yet still have a comfortable, relaxing space to return to.
Overall, if you're looking for a well-located, recently updated property with a bit more of an upscale feel at a competitive rate, La Concha is definitely worth considering. Given the attractive rates for September, it might be a great opportunity to experience a higher-end stay without breaking the bank, especially compared to more budget options like Best Western or Silver Palms. Just keep in mind the central location might come with a little more noise, but it's generally well worth the trade-off for convenience and quality.
