A fairytale-like Zenkov Cathedral

A Russian Orthodox cathedral located in Almaty, the capital of Almaty Province, Kazakhstan.

Standing at a height of 54 meters, Zenkov Cathedral is not only the second tallest wooden structure in the world but also one of the world's eight great wooden architectural marvels, representing Kazakhstan's architectural heritage.

Built using timber from the Tien-Shan mountain range, Zenkov Cathedral is renowned for withstanding a massive earthquake in 1911, which struck the Almaty region with a Richter scale magnitude of 10.

Situated within a park, it’s a great spot to visit while enjoying a leisurely stroll.
