Worship the Sukhothai Traimit golden Buddha statue

#BangkokTourism
🏘Wat Traimit Witthayaram Worawihan was originally named Wat Sam Chin. It is believed that three Chinese people built the temple together. Renovations began in 1934.
👨👧👦In 1939, merchants, citizens, teachers, and students worked together to renovate it and rename it Wat Traimit Witthayaram, which means "three friends built this temple together."
Highlights and important points within the temple include:
🏠The Ubosot (ordination hall) houses the principal Buddha image, Phra Phuttha Thotsapolyan, in the Mara-Vijaya posture. Made of stucco and gilded, it is popularly known as Luang Pho To or Luang Pho Wat Sam Chin.
🏢The main viharn (wihan) houses the Sukhothai Traimit (sacred Buddha image), in the Mara-Vijaya posture, the largest golden Buddha image. The Buddha image can be removed in nine parts, from the base up. It is made of 40% pure gold. The face is 80% gold. The topknot weighs 45 kilograms, 99.99% pure gold.
🧱It is assumed to have been created during the Sukhothai period and is enshrined at Wat Mahathat in Sukhothai Province. During the reign of King Rama I, the Buddha image was brought from the northern region to be enshrined in an important temple.
🙏🏽The large number of Buddha images brought here made it difficult to properly manage. A nobleman secretly applied plaster to the gold Buddha image and moved it to his own temple, Wat Phraya Krai (Wat Chotikaram).
🏕The temple later became deserted. When the new ubosot and viharn were completed, the Buddha image was moved there. During the move, the plaster covering the Buddha image chipped off, revealing the gold within.
