After walking around Tiananmen Square, I took some photos from a distance because we didn't ask for permission to visit in advance. So I decided to take a train from Tiananmen Station to Qianmen Pedestrian Street, which is not too far away. The subway fare is 3 yuan. This is a famous pedestrian street in Beijing, similar to Wangfujing Pedestrian Street. There are many shops, both famous and non-famous brands, and restaurants on both sides of the walkway. There are also alleys on both sides that are restaurants. Since we came to Beijing, we tried Peking duck, which we didn't buy whole or half a duck from a famous shop in this area. We bought it from a street vendor who wrapped it in dough and put the duck cut into pieces, along with cucumbers, spring onions, Chinese sausage, and other things. They charged 30 yuan, which was enough to fill us up. The taste was quite good. Almost all the shops in this area are designed in Chinese architecture. Many people come here, both Chinese and foreigners.
