Beppu Ropeway: Enjoy the view at an altitude of 1300 meters.

Beppu is not only famous for its hot springs, but also has another interesting place, the Beppu Ropeway, which has beautiful scenery that changes in each season.

To visit Beppu Ropeway, we have to take the Cable Car up to the Mt. Tsurumi viewpoint, which is 1,300 meters above sea level.

The day we traveled was the end of the autumn foliage season. The weather up there was cold and windy, and there was a thin layer of white ice covering the entire area. It was very beautiful.

How to get there: Start from Beppu Station, take bus number 36 and get off at the Beppu Ropeway stop. It takes about 20-30 minutes.

Entrance fee: 1,800 JPY (round-trip cable car)

Tips:
1) Beppu Ropeway is the largest ropeway in the Kyushu region (maximum capacity 101 persons). The total ropeway ride takes about 10 minutes.
