✨️Phanom Rung Stone Castle, a Shaivite temple, was originally a brick temple in the Koh Ker style. It has been continuously renovated and built in many eras.

✨️In the 18th Buddhist century, King Jayavarman VII of the Khmer Empire converted to Mahayana Buddhism. This temple was therefore converted into a Mahayana Buddhist temple.

✨️Phanom Rung Stone Castle is made of pink sandstone and is located on the top of Phanom Rung Mountain, 1,320 feet above sea level. The name Phanom Rung means big mountain.

📣Phanom Rung Castle is under consideration for World Heritage status.
