#VisitSecondaryCities If you're visiting Chiang Rai, don't miss Wat Phra Kaew, a historically significant temple and home to Thailand's most revered Buddha image, the Emerald Buddha. Although the Emerald Buddha is currently enshrined in Bangkok, Wat Phra Kaew also houses the Jade Buddha (Phra Phuttaratnakon Navuttiwatsanusorn Mongkol), a replica carved from genuine jade from Canada. It's equally beautiful and sacred. Paying homage to it is truly heartwarming. The temple grounds are shady and peaceful, with beautifully landscaped gardens and trees. There's also the Hong Luang Saeng Kaew, a building housing historical exhibits and artifacts, allowing visitors to learn more about the temple's history.
Getting to the temple is incredibly convenient, as it's located in Chiang Rai city, making it easily accessible and also providing easy access to other attractions within the city. Definitely worth a visit!
