Beautiful Temple in Chiang Rai...Wat Ming Muang
📍Wat Ming Muang is located at the corner of the intersection of Banphapra Road and Trairat Road in Nai Wiang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chiang Rai Province, in the heart of Chiang Rai City.
📒 Built by the Shan people, Wat Ming Muang is a uniquely beautiful temple compared to other temples in the area. Traditionally, it was often called Wat Ngio, or sometimes known as Wat Chang Moob (Elephant Crouching).
🎫 Interesting religious sites within Wat Ming Muang include:
📸 The golden-wood viharn (ordination hall) is made of teakwood and features wood carvings and beautiful stucco work, a blend of Shan and Lanna styles.
📸 Luang Pho Phra Si Ming Muang, the principal Buddha image in the ordination hall, is a Chiang Saen Singh 1 Buddha image over 400 years old.
📸 Phra That Ming Muang, enshrining the relics of the Lord Buddha, and a chedi built in Burmese style.
🗓️..Open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
