If you have flown with Chinese airlines, especially China Southern Airlines, there is a high chance that you will have to stop here – Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (广州白云国际机场), a large airport in Guangzhou that is both spacious, clean and connected to many cities across Asia.



📍 Where is it?
• Located in the north of Guangzhou, about 30 km from the city center.
• There are 2 main terminals (T1 and T2), with T2 being the main base for China Southern Airlines.
• Getting into the city:
• 🚆 There is subway line 3 connecting to the city center.
• 🚖 Taxi takes about 45 minutes (if you don't encounter traffic jams).



🛬 Highlights of the airport
• Very large, but you won't get lost walking around. There are clear signs in Chinese, English, and some places have Korean/Japanese.
• Good connectivity, whether you are changing domestic or international flights, there are easy walkways.
• Fast immigration counter (except during peak hours).

• There are many Chinese restaurants, including noodles, dumplings, and claypot rice.
• Coffee shops such as Starbucks and Luckin Coffee are available in many locations.
