Hong Kong Palace Museum: When the Forbidden City Meets the Palace of Versailles

I like to go to the exhibition! To understand the aesthetics of different categories of ancient and modern times 💛 Recently, the "Hong Kong Palace Museum" has the latest special exhibition "When the Forbidden City Meets the Palace of Versailles" ☺️ Like Chinese and Western culture, I went to stroll the first time ~ very exciting

The exhibition shows the cultural exchanges between China and France in the 17th and 18th centuries - connecting the stories of the Palace of Versailles in France and the Forbidden City in China - the two royal palaces💛

It displays nearly 150 precious artifacts from two world heritage sites: the Forbidden City and the Palace of Versailles, including 9 Chinese national first-class artifacts and the top collection of the Palace of Versailles.

In 1688🌟French monarch Louis XIV wrote a letter to Emperor Kangxi ~ and then officially opened the door for exchange between the courts of China and France ~

🌟 Perfume fountain
My favorite among the exhibits is the perfume fountain - a clever combination of Chinese and French craftsmanship. The bottle adopts the traditional Chinese porcelain style, which was made by Chinese Jingdezhen porcelain workers. It also witnessed the cultural exchange between China and France at that time

👀Other must-see key exhibits ~including~
🌟 Statue of Emperor Qianlong’s court uniform
🌟Coronation dress portrait of King Louis XIV
🌟 Chrysanthemum pattern pot
🌟 Opening landscape floral pattern jug
🌟Black paint painted clock

Finally, do not forget to take pictures in the museum ~ The decoration is full of modernity, the large staircase on the third floor is very suitable for taking beautiful photos, and the observation deck on the third / fourth floor has an endless sea view of Victoria Harbor 💛 Blowing in the wind is super comfortable.
