⛩️Hase-dera Temple is less than 5 minutes’ walk from Kotoku-in Temple. It is also a famous attraction at Kamakura Station. As soon as you enter the gate, you can see the exquisite Japanese garden. Several plum trees in the garden are in full bloom. The branches and leaves of all the flower beds and grasses have been obviously trimmed and designed. It can be seen that the temple has made good use of our entrance fee. The entire temple is marked with road signs, allowing visitors to fully circle the entire temple. It is simply a perfect temple for sightseeing.
⛩️There is a cave called Benten-ku in Hase-dera Temple. The goddess Benzaiten is enshrined here, and the cave has carvings of her followers, called the Sixteen Boys. People with taller stature need to lower themselves slightly when walking because it is dark inside the cave and some of the paths are lower. From the Miharadai, you can see the scenery of Sagami Bay, Kamakura city, and the Shonan coastline. There is also a small shop nearby that sells snacks and drinks. Many people will take pictures here, take a break, and enjoy the good time.
