Kanazawa Castle Park, Ishikawa Prefecture, is where Kanazawa Castle, the symbol of Kanazawa, stands. Along with Kenrokuen Garden, this place is one of the prefecture's most famous spots. It was built in earnest by Maeda Toshiie, a warlord and lord of the Kaga domain during the Sengoku period, and prospered as the castle of 14 generations of the Maeda family until the Meiji period. Due to repeated fires, most of the buildings from that time were destroyed, but the only one that still retains the appearance of the time, such as Ishikawa Gate, has been designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan! When I visited, it was just the time when the castle was lit up,
and the exterior of Kanazawa Castle lit up in blue was very fantastic,
and the castle interior was also lit up everywhere,
and the scenery that can only be seen at night spread out before my eyes 👀
The history and culture of the Kaga Domain's million koku domain is strongly conveyed to the present day, and I was able to take a leisurely stroll around the castle on a long autumn night while feeling that history 😌
