Kanazawa Castle Park is a renowned historical site and park located in the heart of Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. Together with the nearby Kenrokuen Garden, it forms the cultural and historical core of Kanazawa. Kanazawa Castle was once the residence of the Maeda clan of the Kaga Domain and is one of the most representative castles in the Hokuriku region.
During cherry blossom season, it is recommended to visit early in the morning to avoid the large crowds. The park is surprisingly lively, with many Western tourists visiting as well. It’s a great idea to visit it together with Kenrokuen Garden.
📍Address: About a 15-minute bus ride from JR Kanazawa Station to the "Kenrokuen-shita/Kanazawa Castle" stop.
