[Kobe Foreigners' House: Uroko House]

"Something good might happen if you stroke the boar's nose."

This is the "Uroko no Yakata" (house of scales) in the garden of a house with a boar statue (a Porcellino to be exact).

The original bronze statue was made by the late Renaissance sculptor Pietro Tacca and is located in the Mercato Nuovo in Florence.

It has long been said that stroking a boar's nose brings good luck.

That's why only the tip of the nose has peeled off and turned gold! 🤣✨️✨️

If you come here, please try stroking it!

By the way, the origin of the name Uroko no Yakata comes from the fact that the exterior walls of the building, covered with natural stone slate, resemble fish scales!

That's what they say🤔💡

The inside is also a very nice space, so although the admission fee is a little higher than other places, please stop by🎫✨️
